kidatheart: Yeah, some tools are like that, cordless drills especially, but in all fairness, new batteries for the old ones are almost as much money as replacing the drill itself with a new one. I bought myself a pair of 18 volt lithium ion Makita drills a year ago. Adding a cordless reciprocating saw soon, as well as a spare battery.
Not sure what I'm going to do with the box of old drills, there must be 7 or 8 of them in there, along with a pile of dead batteries and chargers. Why can't anyone build a decent toaster? The only good one I've ever had the pleasure of using was a Hobart commercial unit, and I can't afford to buy one. Getting tired of euthanising the cheap ones.

Complete "I hear you" about the toasters. Love the ones in restaurants - put the bread in one side of the belt, out she shoots as toast at the other - pricey and big! I go through toasters fairly quickly too, expensive/cheap/2 and 4 slice...no matter

When I smoked, I probably burnt out many of them lighting smokes

I am still looking for a coffee pot that can stand the test of time - seriously thinking of bringing out the aluminum perk from the camping dishes...
Not getting a new purse, will use the nice black one I bought in the summer - decided to spend the money on getting my nails done
